New foundation supported on steel cased piles
A project we completed in Doncaster for a regular Client. These show a new foundation supported on steel cased piles, with the formwork and reinforcement all in place prior to concrete being placed
Slaithwaite, Huddersfield
18no 220mm ODEX drilled piled retaining wall
The existing retaining wall had failed and was in need of replacing to support the highway, due to the lack of space and shallow bedrock a drilled pile was the only option, a row of piles were drilled, reinforcement cages placed and concreted to provide the temporary support needed.

220mm steel cased piles and 300mm deep x 450mm wide RC ground beams
This domestic extension needed to be piled due to an existing septic tank which meant a traditional foundation wouldn't be suitable. Due to high pile loads a larger than normal pile was needed so using our custom built rig the piles were installed in a way to ensure no damage would be caused to the existing structure.

220mm steel cased piles and RC Ground beams
A development of two detached dwellings in the quite little village on the outskirts of Doncaster. We installed a system of 220mm steel cased piles and 450mm reinforced ground beams. We obviously did a good job as the site agent shared the success of the job on his Linkedin page, another happy customer.

New Dwelling - 220mm Steel Cased Piles, RC Ground Beam & Clay Heave Precautions
A quite village location needed a conservative approach. This new dwelling was to be constructed on the grounds of existing properties, piles were pre-augered before mini-piles were installed. The RC ground beams designed in house and include formwork and clay heave precautions.

150mm Mini Piled Foundation to side and rear extension
The builder on this job had a surprise when he found the ground he was digging into was made ground and not suitable for a traditional foundation. Westbuild installed a total of 15no 150mm mini piles and designed and installed a 450mm wide x 450mm deep RC ground beams. The location of some existing services mean't the design had to be altered to allow the floors to cantilever over, this was done during day one on site causing no delay or additional costs.

150mm diameter Steel cased Piles & RC Ground beam included Clay Heave Precautions
When we were approached to price this project we noticed the requirement for large driven piles, given the location of the works we felt a small diameter piles would be better suited and worked with the engineer's to modify the design. The piles were complimented by cellcore clay heave precautions, preformed formwork and bespoke reinforced cages. The formwork proved ideal for this project as the excavation side did not dig straight saving our client additional concrete cost. Another happy customer and on to the next one.
Amersham, Buckinghamshire
Pre-bored 220mm diameter steel cased mini piles
This project was next to a BT building and due to some delicate equipment vibration levels had to kept to a minimum. We worked with the engineers to provide an alternative pile type to reduce costs and also ensure vibration would not be an issue. We completed the works within the timesacles and the 5mm/sec vibration restriction.

150mm mini piles, RC Ground beam
A domestic extension that hit problems when excavations encounted loose filled ground, we were able to quickly respond visiting site the very same day and completed the job within 7 days of that causing minimal delay to the project. Can we help out with your extension foundations?

150mm Mini Piles & Frame for Modular School Building
Truly an example of our ability to deliver custom foundation solutions. This Environmental Education Centre was looking to upgrade its facilities however, existing tree roots meant traditional foundations were not an option. The solution, mini piles were driven from pre-dug pits to ensure root systems were missed. Following accurate cutting down, the piles were capped with steel plates before universal beams being levelled, drilled & bolted into place. With the modular classroom, soon to follow this will make a great addition for generations to come.

Design and installation of 220mm bottom driven steel-cased mini piles.
A small but challenging project, this required Westbuild to act as principal contractor and manage the site which involved taking control of an active car-park. The history of the site also meant numerous services were present so before anthing could happen we had a survey done using ground penetrating radar to ensure the mini piles would not encounter anything. When we had the all clear, the pile positions had to be diamond drilled through the car-park slab and then the pile driving could get underway. Following completion the car-park surface was reinstated, all protections were removed and the site compound dismantled, all ahead of schedule. We are looking forward to the challenging phase 2 coming soon.

Design & construct Open Bore Mini Piles, Excavation works & Construction of RC ground beams.
This was an interesting project and the first with a new client. On day one we encounted ground water inflows so quickly had to change our methods to overcome this efficently, which we were able to do without straying from our program. Following completion of piling we commenced the ground beam excavations which quickly progressed, with the installation of clay heave precautions and formwork we were able to finish almost a week ahead of schedule.
